2016 World Sporting Event Calendar
Here is a list of the major sporting events for the year 2016. Not every sporting event can be listed here, though we have tried to include all the big sporting events of the major sports, mostly the international competitions.
In 2016, the major events for the year were the Rio Olympics and Paralympics, as well as the usual annual events. The Invictus Games was held for the second time. The Copa América Centenario was held in June, celebrating 100 years of CONMEBOL and Copa América. See the highlights of 2016.
