The Masters Championships
The Masters golf tournament is one of the major golf tournaments around the world. It is played each year in April at the Augusta National Golf Club. The other majors are played at different venues each year. The Masters was first played in 1934, and won by Horton Smith of the USA. A green jacket is awarded to the champion, a tradition that dates back to the 1949 tournament.
