The game was contested between the AFC champion Denver Broncos and the NFC champion Carolina Panthers. The Broncos emerged victorious with a score of 24-10, led by quarterback Peyton Manning and a dominant defensive performance. This was Manning's second Super Bowl win and his final game in the NFL, as he retired after the season.
The MVP was Von Miller of the Denver Broncos.
The halftime show was headlined by Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars, who put on a memorable performance for the audience.
