Duckpin bowling is a type of 10 pin bowling. The balls used in this type of bowling are 4 ¾ inches to 5 inches in diameter. These balls are smaller than the ones used in ten-pin bowling, but the balls are larger and heavier than the ones used in candlepin bowling.
It is arranged in a triangle manner just like in ten-pin bowling, but it is smaller and lighter which makes it very difficult to strike.
The participants are allowed three rolls per frame, unlike two rolls per frame in ten-pin bowling, in playing this game. If the participants knocked down the balls in the first frame, it is called a strike. If the balls are knocked down in the second frame, it is called a spare. If they are knocked out in the third frame, the player gets 10 points. The final score of the participant is the sum of the points which he or she earned over 10 frames, the max score is around 300 points.
