Full Court 21

Full Court 21 is a new sport created by Douglas Jones from Williamsburg Virginia USA in 2018. This is a basketball game that is similar to the popular half court game for 3 players known as "21".  This is a FULL COURT version which is more physically challenging.

Equipment Required: One Full size regulation basketball court with 2 baskets. One regulation size Basketball.

Sport Description

This game is similar to the popular half court game of 21 with the following exceptions:

  1. The game is FULL COURT.
  2. Each basket is worth 2 points, but a made shot from behind the 3 point line is worth 3 points and a shot made from beyond the half-court line is worth 5 points.
  3. There are NO free throws after a made shot.  After each score the scoring player must take the ball out and attempt to score at the OPPOSITE basket.  The opponents must give the scorer 10 feet cushion to bring the ball in bounds.
  4. If one of the opponents is able to steal the ball from the scorer he or she will be able to score on the basket in front of him or her.
  5. In the event of a FOUL, the offended player will get ONE free throw worth ONE point.  If the shot is good the scoring player continues to play on offense.
  6. There are 2 ways to win.  You can hit 21 points exactly (which means you would need a 3 or a 5 point goal at some point), OR you can win on 30 points if your score goes over 21 without hitting it on the nose. You can ONLY win the game by one of these options.
