The tournament saw the participation of seven CONMEBOL nations—Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay.
The event was conducted in a round-robin format where each team played against the others once, and Argentina emerged as the winner by finishing at the top of the standings, securing their twelfth Copa América title.
