The skill tests listed below are those performed annually at the NBA pre-draft combine.
As well as these skill tests, at the combine there are fitness tests and anthropometrical measurements, a medical and interviews. For more details see the draft camp notes. We have the top results from these skill tests for the 2010 and 2011 Combine.
Skill Drill Tests
There have been a few small differences between the known drills done in 2010, 2011 and 2015. Below is the current list of tests performed at the NBA combine.

Off The Dribble Shooting: Players attempt uncontested jump shots off the dribble in order to simulate in-game action. | 15 footers | The player takes 6 shots coming off the dribble from 15 feet away from the basket on the left break area of the court, right break area and the top of the key. The shot is from about the distance of a college three pointer (20 ft. 9 in.). Count of the successful shots out of the total 18 shots, reported as a percentage. |
College 3-pointers (20 ft. 9 in.) | The player takes 6 shots coming off the dribble from the left break area of the court, right break area and the top of the key. On The Move Shooting: Players attempt uncontested jump shots while on the move in order to simulate in-game action. A timed test, players have 35 seconds (2011, 2015) or 45 seconds (2010) per set. | 15 footers | 35 (or 45) seconds to attempt as many shots as time allows from 15 feet while moving between spots (corners and elbows from both sides). |
College 3-pointers (20 ft. 9 in.) | 35 (or 45) seconds to attempt as many shots as time allows from college 3-pt range (20 ft. 9 in.) while moving between spots (corners and elbows from both sides). |

The information listed above for the testing performed at the pre-draft camp has been found from searching on the internet. No specifics on the actual procedures used for these test have been found, and there may be additional skill tests included.
