Kardinia Park Stadium, built in 1941, is located within Kardinia Park, Geelong. It is the largest-capacity Australian stadium located outside a capital city.
The stadium is the home ground of the Geelong Football Club. The current capacity of Kardinia Park is 34,000. The attendance record is 49,107, who attended a VFL game on 30 August 1952 between Geelong Carlton.
The stadium is undergoing an extensive redevelopment that will boost its capacity to more than 40,000, due to be completed mid-2023. This is in preparation to hosting events at the 2026 Commonwealth Games including the closing ceremony.
