The following information summarizes information that was part of a nutrition website created for the athletes at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games (no longer available). See more on the World Menu for Sydney 2000.
During their stay in Sydney, the athletes were able to visit the Nutrition Kiosk located in the Olympic Village food hall, and obtain a full analysis of the meals that they had eaten or intended to eat. The dietitians also collected feedback on how well the menu met the cultural and nutritional requirements of the athletes.
Sample Menu Plan
Here is a sample of the print out which could be generated during a consultation with a sports dietitian at the Olympic Village food hall Nutrition Kiosk. Summaries like these could be used by the athletes to better plan their pre-competition meals and to identify the source of specific nutrients.

Menu Feedback
The dietitians also collected feedback on how well the menu to met the cultural and nutritional requirements of the athletes. Below is an example of the main part of the form used to obtain feedback on specific dishes or on the menu in general. It would be interesting to find out if any of this information has been analyzed, and if it has been used to provide a better service to the Olympic athletes at the Olympic Games since then.
