The 2011 Copa América was held in Argentina. It was the 43rd edition of the tournament.
The tournament saw the participation of the ten CONMEBOL nations—Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela—along with invited teams Mexico and Costa Rica.
In the final, Uruguay defeated Paraguay 3-0 to win their 15th Copa América title, extending their record as the most successful team in the tournament's history.

- The mascot for 2011 was Tangolero, an American rhea (ñandú). It was named by merging "tango" and "gol," this mascot represents both the traditional Argentine dance and the excitement of scoring goals (gol is Spanish for "goal"). See more about Copa América Mascots.
