The tournament saw the participation of the ten CONMEBOL nations—Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
In the final, Paraguay triumphed over Chile with a 3-1 aggregate victory across two legs, winning their second Copa América title.
