Qatar at the Copa América
The Copa América is the international championships contested among national teams from South America. The tournament is made up of the 10 South American CONMEBOL nations, plus occasionally two teams from non-CONMEBOL countries. Qatar is one such country.
Qatar has played in the Copa America only once, in 2019. They did not progress from the group stage, with one draw and two losses from their three games.
Trivia
- In 2019, Qatar became the second team from outside the Americas to participate in the Copa América.
- Qatar was also Invited to the 2021 tournament, but later withdrew due to a clash with a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification match.
