The 1984 Olympic games were held in Los Angeles, USA. There were 21 sports on the program, the same events as in the previous three Olympics. Rhythmic gymnastics events were added to the gymnastics program for the first time, and also Synchronized Swimming was added to the aquatics discipline for the first time.
