1984 New York and Stoke Mandeville Paralympic Games

The seventh Paralympics were held in New York and Stoke Mandeville in 1984. The event was known as TheĀ 1984 International Games for the Disabled, now referred to as theĀ 1984 Summer Paralympics.

There were two separate competitions: one in Stoke Mandeville, UK for wheelchair athletes with spinal cord injuries and the other in New York, USA for wheelchair and other athletes including cerebral palsy, amputee and visually impaired athletes.
